Seaside Ceremony
Ah yes, the wedding itself. It will be on Oasis beach in Honeymoon Island State Park. Which is about 5 miles from downtown Dunedin Florida.
Important info
- Admission to the park is already covered for the wedding. Just mention that you're there for the wedding and they should let you in. You can even go an hour or so early if you want to have some time to check out the island. Note: it is a rustic state park. There are public restrooms, but not much else so be prepared.
- Ceremony starts at 5:15. There is a drawbridge to cross to get onto the island. As we have no way of knowing when that bridge will go up, please allow extra time to get to the ceremony in case you get caught.
- Dress is Beach Formal.
- Shoes. You will be walking out onto the beach for the ceremony. You might want to bring something flippy floppy. Or just go barefoot when on the beach. Whatever makes your toes happy.
- You could bring an umbrella just in case it rains. But it won't. April showers don't apply to Florida. Seriously. :)
Map
Head north out of Dunedin on 595/US19. Go about two miles and then turn left onto Causeway Blvd/Curlew Rd. Follow Causeway Blvd over the bridge and into Honeymoon Island State Park. After gate (tell them you are there for the wedding) stay to right and follow the road as it loops around to the left. After you loop back, Oasis beach will be on your right. When facing the beach, walk out to the left to find the ceremony location.
